DELIGHTFUL AMAZON WEIRDNESS I could tell you how Amazon decided I wanted to purchase some kind of American flag and Robert Heinlein's Stranger In A Strange Land but I think that would spoil the fun.
Something tells me that Robert Heinlein would approve. Probably in a really emphatic and scary way. BTW, the only thing that kept me from reading Stranger earlier than I did is that paperback edition's self-worshipping cover--did they really have to stamp "THE MOST FAMOUS SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL EVER WRITTEN" right on the cover?
BTW, just read your Slate piece and really enjoyed it.
I'm a pop culture-focused critic and editor who's written thousands of reviews and edited many more. If you've read me, it was probably in The A.V. Club, the entertainment section of The Onion. If not, for goodness sake, go there now. It's awesome.
I live in Andersonville, a neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, with my lovely wife, our cat, and an overactive dog.

I think it would be really funny if the other related products were:
Hostel on DVD
The Low Down on Going Down by Marcy Michaels and Marie Desalle
Family First by Dr. Phil
Weirder results have happened to all of us.
